The Oakwood Park Association Board met on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the home of Fritzi Nodine.

Board Members Present

The following Board members were in attendance:

  • Fritzi Nodine

  • Steve David

  • Brandon Miller

  • Sherill Myers

The Board offered condolences to Sherill Myers on the passing of Steve Myers. Steve served as Treasurer of the Oakwood Park Association for many years. The Board acknowledged Sherill’s offer to assume the duties of Treasurer and appointed her to serve in that role.

Treasurer’s Report

Sherill reported that the Association currently has $4,718.09 in the bank. She also reported that winter snow-plowing expenses totaled $259.00. Sherill stated that she will prepare a more detailed financial report for the annual meeting.

Annual Meeting

Fritzi reported that the annual meeting will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Nodine boathouse yard. She also reported that she has invited a representative from the Hamilton Lake Association to speak at the meeting regarding lake-related issues.

Road Vacation / Surveying

Surveying has begun in connection with the proposed closing of abandoned Road 150F and Union Street.

Road 150E / Water Street Damage

The Board discussed damage to Road 150E, also known as Water Street. The damage occurred following heavy spring rains and affected a portion of the road where slag had been installed approximately three years ago.

The Board discussed that the damage appears to have been caused, at least in part, by runoff from a residence at the top of the hill that does not have gutters in place, as well as significant runoff from the driveway.

The estimated cost to repair the slag is $1,500.00. The Board also discussed the possibility of installing a culvert under the road to divert water to the north side of the road and into the culverts that run toward the lake.

The Board further discussed whether a portion of the repair cost could be charged to the resident. No decision was made at this time. Fritzi will obtain a quote for the cost of installing a culvert to redirect the water.

Going forward, notices to members will be posted on the website rather than mailed. Sherill will continue to mail dues statements to members.

Annual Dues

Annual dues will remain the same this year at $125.00 per household.

The Board discussed collection procedures for unpaid dues. Members who do not pay their dueswill receive two notices. A third notice will inform the member that a lien may be placed on the property if payment is not received.

Nodine Redi-Rock Wall

The Board signed an acknowledgment of the completion of the Nodine Redi-Rock wall.

Easements / Membership Requirements

The Board discussed easements and membership requirements. The Board decided to investigate the membership requirements further by obtaining a description of the plat of Oakwood Park and proceeding from there.

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
